This projector is a great item for watching movies or showing photos to other people. The picture quality is great and the item is very easy to use. The only downside is that the volume of the speaker is very low, however this is easily overcome using a blue tooth speaker. The projector will also get very hot after about 2 hours of use and cause the phone to overheat.
Picture was clear
At a retail price of $230, this projector is worthy of consideration if you are not planning on upgrading to the new iPhone in the near future. It offers a clear picture with some added flare and attitude. This consumer has a shiny new gadget riding shotgun to her beloved iPhone 4s.
Excellent build quality
The 3M MP220's looks might not set pulses racing as much as some pocket rivals, but it more than makes up for its aesthetic shortcomings with its build quality, the extent of its features, its flexibility, and best of all its picture performance, which comfortably outperforms expectations raised by previous experience with such small projectors.
Serious film fans won't be happy with its lack of black level depth, we guess, but then the MP220 is fundamentally not targetted at that audience.
Looks and feels solid
The 3M Mobile Projector MP220 looks and feels solid. It clearly targets business users who can expense not just the unit's high price, but also the cost of the accessories that render it more usable. Its unusually high resolution should add to the corporate appeal. But if you don't need the extra high-res support, you might want to look at less-expensive DLP options.
Supports usefully bright, high-quality image in the most portable format
As should be obvious, the AAXA P2 Jr. offers a lot to like. Its got excellent data image quality, good video quality, good connectivity, plus the ability to read files directly from USB keys and microSD cards. It also helps a lot that it doesn't show many rainbow artifacts. It fits in a shirt pocket and has ample brightness for the size, particularly when using AC power.
Set-up is a breeze
Brookstone and Texas Instruments have once again raised the bar in the world of pico projectors. Although this device would never serve as a dedicated projector in the home of a videophile, it is merely a matter of time until pico projectors become contenders in the arena of home entertainment. Since multi-tasking has become a part of our culture, many of us demand the same usefulness from our electronics.
Bright Little Projector
All in all, this is a worthwhile projector to have, at times I really do not believe that the image was projected from such a tiny device and that the brightness rating was just 85 lumens (it feels brighter than that). It does have a built-in speakers but I did not use it, I plugged in my own speaker for a fuller sound.
A great projector
I purchased this projector to be used at functions for a social club. We generally show DVD's in a room that is only slightly darkened, with the projector about 15' from the screen, and club members view it from 20 - 50 ft away. So we needed a projector with some muscle to get an image large and crisp enough to be enjoyed from the back of the room. I researched lots of projectors, and this one seemed to offer the best quality for a reasonable price.
Sharp image even when projecting higher than native resolutions
The MS517 is pretty well designed and maintenance free, aside from having to change the lamp. Changing the lamp is a little more work on the BenQ MS517 compared to other projectors on the market, but the design, and look of the projector reflects this. I like to think that it is kind of the like the iPhone. Simple, beautiful, but ultimately not easy to tamper with. That could be a positive in a classroom environment where lots of different people are going to be accessing the projector.
Long lamp life
The MS517's strongest features are its low price and how much it delivers for that price, including near-excellent data image quality, usable video quality, portability, and a long lamp life. You can get a more capable projector if you spend more, but it will be hard to find one this capable as this price.
On the minus side, if you need good quality 3D you'll want to look elsewhere, and the issues with audio mean that if you need sound you'll need an external audio system.
Awesome value and quality
I bought this to use in a gallery for an upcoming show and it is way better than the quality that I expected. The video looks great and the lamp is very bright. It definitely can operate in ambient light without any issues. It has a good screen size and a better contrast ratio than the more expensive Epson models that I was looking at. I haven't tried the 3d modes yet, but it is decently quiet and even projects well on my horrible brown walls.
Great value and quality.
Stunning picture even for a videophile
I use this projector for both video and gaming. It provides a stunning picture even for a videophile like me. If you are looking into setting up a home theater, take a serious look at this projector before considering spending much more money on an HD projector. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
High lumens, Good contrast ratio
This projector is suitable for large conference room or classrooms. For those who need to project their presentation materials, whether for business or education, will find it useful because of it's brightness range.
A quality movie projector and you wonâ??t regret buying it
The ViewSonic PJD5134 SVGA DLP is a quality movie projector and you won't regret buying it. You can game, watch sports, or your favorite movies, even in 3D, and in high enough quality that you shouldn't have to worry about quality. You can get roughly 177" of screen from 25 feet away, and you can watch it with the lights on.
In my opinion this is the highest quality movie projector I've ever had the pleasure of trying.
