Smart design, Great keyboard, Fast to wake
The Lenovo Miix is more than capable of serving the needs of some people, but it's a definite niche. If the question is should the average person get this instead of an Ultrabook (even a low-end one that comes in at a similar price point), then the answer is no. The Asus VivoBook S200 is almost certainly a better bet.
More than I expected. The only thing that I did not like about it was that it dropped the internet very often until I found a new driver for the wireless from Acer. This updated driver solved the problem. Beside that, no problems. I have tried a lot of tablets and have been using and I-Pad for the past 3 years. This Acer w700 has replaced it. I can do everything the I-pad does and more, more, more. I very seldom even use my desktop computer or my I-Pad. Great Product.
Clever dock system, Great connectivity
The Acer Iconia W700 comes the closest of all the tablets we've seen to being able to replicate the experience of a laptop, in a true tablet form.
While you certainly get a lot for your money here, we worry that the poor performance limits the life of this hybrid PC, and would push those looking for a rich Windows 8 experience to look at the Intel Core i5 version.
Strong 11.6-inch Full HD display
The Acer Iconia W700 is not a bad product, but it makes more promises than it keeps. It's neither a great tablet, nor a great laptop replacement as its battery life is too short and the supplied accessories too cumbersome. The only genuine bright spot is the screen, but it's not enough on its own to convince us.
Very good viewing angles
The price is still rigidly adhered to the manufacturer's RRP. However, a new price design will likely be announced with the release of Microsoft's Surface Pro at the latest. Nevertheless, Acer offers a good Windows alternative to iOS and Android systems with the W700. Users who want their familiar Windows environment but do not want a laptop could find a good alternative in this product.
Windows 8 tablet with a stand and keyboard
The Acer Iconia W700 works best if you plan to take it on the road without its keyboard and are comfortable using it on a desktop with a minimal variety of viewing angles. If you're seeking a Windows 8 tablet that will also serve as a laptop, look elsewhere.
Great value for the money, very good full HD display
As ever, Acer has managed a bargain with better specs and more goodies in the box than their competitors. What's new are the classy unibody aluminum casing and overall high end specs. This tablet has an excellent full HD display, good performance and the dock is included. The only thing missing is a digital pen for note takers and artists, but alas there's no active digitizer here.
Handy dock and wireless keyboard
The Acer Iconia W700 is heftier than a lot slates on the market, but it packs in standard laptop components to deliver some pleasing power for general use. The bundled dock and wireless keyboard allows you to use it as a standard PC at your desk and the Full HD screen shows off images and videos at their best.
Great tablet for the $$
I was expecting a cheap knockoff tablet but I was surprised when I opened it up. Looks clean and it's light weight. This thing performs as well. It supports flash the apps pop and overall it's pretty snappy. For the money I'd say it's one of the best in $100 bracket. The only bummer is no bluetooth. If your looking for a decent and cheap tablet... these are the way to go.
Great tablet for the price
I've been using Kindle Fire 1st generation as my comic reader. I loved it very much except one which is that there is no external memory slot. It was a little inconvenient to copy files into Kindle fire because of the slow speed and limited size. Now, with this one, I can add 32GB micro SD card to the internal 16GB space. If you pick class 10 micro SD with good card reader, the file copy is much faster.
Generous memory capacity
Acer managed to pleasantly surprise us recently with its Iconia B1 for just 119 Euros (~$154). Therefore, we place at least just as high demands on Asus' Memo Pad, especially since it costs 30 Euros (~$39) more with 149 Euros (~$193). That is a steep surcharge for this price range. To say it straight away: Asus did not disappoint us, but it did not really awe us either.
Kudos to Acer! It was clear right from outset of this review that the Acer Iconia B1 was not fighting for a crown in the tablet market. Nevertheless, we had very high expectations for the first "low-budget" tablet from a brand manufacturer. And Acer did not let us down. The B1 is the first tablet at a price of 120 Euros (RRP) that is an attractive buy. However, it was to be expected that the buyer has to make compromises in the hardware to keep the device price down.
You can really work well with the tablet. All multimedia contents are reproduced well. Also, Internet surfing is good and fast, thanks to the Wi-Fi module very well. However, my display is broken. An interchangeable Accu like smartphones would be helpful. Then the machine would reboot and my screen would then remain functioning.
Mid-grade tablet for low price
Mid-grade tablet for low price. It is not the greatest tablet on the market today, but for the size and the operating system, It is a fairly cheap price for what your looking for. I had purchased mine simply for the fact to download games and learning programs for my son, along with a couple of apps for myself. It was working fine for the first 8-10 days, then the touchpad would not respond to my finger. I ended up returning the unit in exchange for another one.
Great tablet for a great price!
I could go on and on: battery life great; Android 4.1 amazing with seamless coordination of contacts and calendar from my Android phone; movies and music very impressive; recognized and connects to my laptop with little effort (I hate iTunes)... Needless to say I highly recommend the Contixo LR102. Love my iPad, but now it just sits there.
GREAT PRICE AMAZING PRODUCT!!
At first we were a little skeptical about buying an off brand tablet, as we are used to the IPAD and Galaxy. But I must say, we were very pleasantly surprised.. Love it! Great for email, news, music and even watching Netflix. This tablet works as advertised. Lightweight, slim and so easy to carry around. Definitely recommend!
