Awesome washer....Love it!!!
I've had this washer since early December 2011 when it first became available in the United States. It has all the features I need: narrow width, low height, controls in the front, not in the back (for a shorter reach), hot and cold water standard washer hook-ups, stainless steel tub, a bi-fold lid (because I have it right under my stacked clothes dryer and have limited vertical clearance) and most importantly an agitator.
Very quiet and convenient
Well, I figured since it was a pretty reasonable price, it must be made in China and it was. One reviewer wrote - 'this is a very needy machine'. Compared to an automatic, yes, it is. But I have it in my kitchen and I can wheel it out of the way when I don't want to use it, and yes you have to stand and fill, wait while it drains etc. but it sure beats going up and down two flights of stairs when your knees hurt AND it sure beats going to the laundrymat.
Blends the best of capacity and durability
Danby is somewhat of an expert in the miniature appliances game. Some of their most popular appliances include mini-fridges, wine fridges, and, of course, portable washers. With so much experience in the production of smaller travel-sized appliances, it is easy to assume they know what they're doing. This 10-lb. capacity washer blends the best of capacity and durability, while keeping the costs down by cutting out non-essentials.
Advantage of being inexpensive and easy to repair
The Danby DTT420 is a quiet washing machine with a rust resistant galvanized steel cabinet. It does a good job washing average loads of laundry, but is not suitable for heavy loads. The Danby DTT420 is not a good choice for a large family or anyone who does heavy loads of laundry but is ideal as a vacation home washer or for small families with limited space.
