Good High Efficiency Washer but Much Louder than Expected
This machine gets my clothes clean, uses less water, detergent, and electricity than my last machine and has a huge basket. The basket does not fill all the way but I have ran some pretty big loads and have not noticed any spotting or problems with my clothes. The power rinse option seems to compensate for not filling the basket all the way. My preferred setting is the manual fill Super Load, with cold water for colors and warm for whites and I always use the PowerRinse option.
Feels sturdy and has a simple design
On a cost-benefit basis, the GE GFWN1100LWW is a fair and reasonable machine. If you're willing to forgo many features - such as pre-wash, something found commonly on higher-end washers - in favor of reliable performance, this GE is a good choice. While the GE GFWN1100LWW did have some trouble with delicates, its Stain Wash cycle obliterated traces of the enemies of cleanliness.
Very easily goes out of balance during spin cycle
I bought this washing machine from Home Depot 3 months ago. At first, the washing machine was very quiet and operated without any problems and just in the last 3 weeks I have been having trouble with it going out of balance during the rapid spin cycle. Sometimes I have to re-arrange the laundry several times before it can finish spinning. I would not recommend leaving this washing machine unattended because of it going out of balance.
15 different wash settings and 5 water levels
Wash your way with this GE topload washer. Its dual-action agitator makes for easy loading and a gentle yet efficient wash. And you can choose from 15 different wash settings and 5 water levels that is the perfect combination for each load. It even offers a Power Rinse option that removes the dirty water so you can be confident that your clothes are truly clean.
Basic, straightforward washer
The GE GTWN2800DWW is one of the last old-style top-load washing machines that has a center agitator and lets users select the exact water level, temperature and length for each cycle (instead of setting everything automatically). This is a basic, straightforward washer with none of the fancy settings of the modern, high-efficiency machines. It has simple dial controls; automatic bleach and fabric softener dispensers; and a spin speed of up to 630 rpm.
Newer Dumber Technology
These new washing machines are a consumers worst nightmare due to the drastic changes manufacturers have made. The worst is that you cannot lift the lid for any reason, to do so causes the machine to stop. Forget the days of watching the agitator in action. Is it working, who knows? Maybe if they put a glass or even plexiglass window on the lid so you could look in to see if it's working would make it a more tolerable experience.
Very good budget selection
The GE GTWP1800DWW is primarily carried by Best Buy stores, and is one of their lowest priced in-store washers. It's easy to order, and retails at $479.99 (but often is on sale for much less). It comes with 3.7 cu. ft. and 12 wash cycles, but performs a little poorer in energy efficiency. Saving money in the long term is not something this GE is designed for, but it will take a pretty big chunk off the purchase price.
Very eco-friendly--uses very little water or energy
The General Electric GFWS3500LWW is a mid-cost front load washer. The capacity of this washer is 4.9 cubic feet, and it is equipped with several options to make laundry easier. The HydroHeater of this washer, an internal water heater, boosts incoming water temperature to brighten whites while helping eliminate common bacteria.
The Steam Refresh option helps reduce wrinkles and odors and rejuvenates fabrics.
Washer was extremely efficient
The GE PFWS4600LWW doesn't disappoint, but higher-end machines shouldn't. It's kind of like if you hired LeBron James to play on your pee-wee basketball team, you'd expect to win. That being said, this GE had an above average cleaning capability coupled with a below average efficiency rating. Plenty of features are stuffed into its attractive outer shell, most of which are useful.
Very good cleaning performance on normal cycle
If you tend to squeeze in wash cycles while you're making other plans, you'll love the PFWS4600LWW washer from GE. This unit offers an overnight cycle that tumbles small loads overnight so they emerge dry and ready to wear the next morning. This premium washer is chock full of specialty cycles, geared to accommodate everything from performance fabrics to pet bedding to bras and hosiery, along with an NSF-certified sanitizing cycle, and a steam refresh cycle to help reduce wrinkles and...
Fair cleaning results on delicate and bulky cycles
GE PFWS4600LWW Front-Load Washer is one of the newest series of washers and dryers made by GE. This product is accompanied with great features and sure high quality but anyone can buy it with a very affordable price. One advantage that this product has is that it comes with an energy saving feature which means that it can wash the clothes using enough water and reduced energy consumption.
This machine is kind of pricey, but it is SO easy to hook up and use, I think it's worth it. It holds a ton--I believe it's nearly full sized. It's quiet, doesn't jump around, and does a great job cleaning. The filter is easy to clean and replace, and the detergent/fabric softener dispenser works really well. This is my second portable washer, and the difference between the first one (a different brand) and this one is night and day.
