Great monitor for the price
I bought two of these for my new PC build, I am a student so i wanted a dual monitor setup so i could do research on one screen while writing on the other and i must say i am very happy with these. Screens look great and again if your looking for a dual monitor setup that wont break the bank these are a nice option.
Good for the price
It's pretty much perfect. They send a installation cd in the box but you don't need to use it it's just for if ever there's a problem where the monitor has to be completly reconfigured, but not like for image adjustment. The only real problem for some people would be that you can't adjust the height and angle of the monitor, and it's very slightly tilted forward but you can't tell unless your stare at it from the side.
The mixture of value, simplicity and weight.
Despite the weaknesses, its nice to have a second display connected on the road. At only $150 you can't expect too much. I really like the added screen space, so I willingly compromised on the display quality issues and the awkward USB connector. It's good enough to keep your Twitter client and a chat client live as you work. You can watch a video podcast or keep your music player open and viewable. The wide-screen format makes it great for keeping a couple small windows open.
Incredibly energy efficient
The AOC e1649Fwu portable monitor is good-sized, reasonably priced and incredibly energy efficient. I can always tell if a product is a winner if I get the urge to buy it, and I'm seriously considering picking up one of these as a second monitor for my iMac and MacBook Air.
A good quality, low power, low price monitor
I will start my review by acknowledging that this monitor can not support HD video, but if you are using this for business purposes you generally can get away with this and not even notice. This is because this monitor only comes with a VGA connection, and does not support HDMI cables or DVI cables which deliver HD.
Although the monitor does look very nice and crisp, if you need true HD support you should consider paying a little bit extra and get a more full featured device.
