Canon is a Japanese multinational corporation that specialises in the production of imaging and optical products, including cameras, camcorders, photocopiers, steppers and computer printers.
Canon has a long history of innovation and brought in the world’s first Inkjet printer that used bubble jet technology. Canon also claims that the Canon Advanced Printing Technology (CAPT) – which is their own printer driver software-stack uses data compression to reduce the printer’s memory requirements thereby speeding up data transfer while printing high-resolution graphics.
