Worst surround ever
I got rid of my Samsung home theater for this because it had blue ray and wi fi built in. You need the volume at max just to hear a movie on DVD or online. The radio volume seems to have plenty of power but nothing else does and I went thru 6 of them and they where all the same so I decided to live with it for now but last night while watching a DVD the picture went out . It's only 3 months old Pioneer is P. O. S. And if you buy this you probably won't be happy with it either
No option for mixing, matching or replacing speakers
Pioneer may have had home theater in mind with the HTZ-BD32, but if you're going to bother, it's probably better suited for those smaller spaces in the home. The build and the quality of the components just don't lend themselves to a larger space that you'll call your main home theater. However, who wouldn't appreciate having a full set of speakers, a Blu-ray 3D player and streaming services in spot like the bedroom or playroom?
Big movie theater sound
This system was a big surprise for the money. It has very good quality sound and I am pleased with it in every way so far. It was also easy to set up. I ended up placing speakers on the wall with exception of the sub-woofer. Connected it to a 51" Samsung plasma screen. Picture and sound are incredible. If you don't live in the country the sound may disturb your neighbors. Very happy I bought it.
Great System for the Price
I have been very happy with this purchase. It has more than enough power. I have not had it above 35. The sound is very good, I'm no audiophile, but going from a Bose system to this I have no complaints. Within the first week the sound would not come on and I had to unplug the unit. This happened again so I connected it to the internet and upgraded the firmware. It has worked flawlessly since. I purchased a new TV at the same time and have had no problems with audio sync.
5.1-channel surround-sound and connectivity options are as close to perfect
With one exception, the Philips Blu-ray Home Theater System HTS3106/F7 is a flawless home theater setup. Picture, sound and connectivity all have the right parts and perform their assigned tasks perfectly. We would like to see more than one HDMI port in a more accessible part of the machine. Other than that, this home theater in a box system is the standard-bearer for all other systems in this category.
Good sound, Good value
I was hesitant to buy this after seeing mostly below average reviews. I wanted a samsung 3D player theather system to go with the 3D Samsung LCD TV we just bought. Well, we have had it for a month now and we are very happy.
Will it play music and blow your mind? No. You better keep your expensive component stereo system. The system can't deliver the low hard hitting bass.
Will it provide impressive surround sound for your movies? Definitely yes.
Speakers are very easy to setup even for novices
The Samsung HT- D5300 is a 5.1 channel surround sound audio system released as a downgrade from the HT-D6500W. It doesn't offer wireless functionality and its speakers are smaller, but it does include a 3D compatible Blu-ray player/receiver, four small satellite speakers, a central channel, and a subwoofer.
Good home theater
Recent purchase. Have had a sony home theater before and this system pretty much meets the expectations. Areas of concern are noted below:
- Length of speaker cables are less than required (especially for the center and sub woofer). I needed a longer cable since i use a projector and not a TV screen
- Yet to find a file format that can be played using the USB connect (does not seem to read any itunes/ mp3 formats)
- An additional wifi access point is required to connect to internet.
Subwoofer isn't powered, lacks power and punch
The Sony BDV-E280 is one of three 3D-compliant home theater systems (BDV-E780W, BDV-E580, and BDV-E280) released together in early 2011. All three models feature an integrated Blu-ray disc player that can handle 3D and 2D BDs, as well as DVDs, SACDs, and CDs.
Contains every feature we look for in this category
The Sony 3D Blu-ray Home Theater System BDV-E280 stands head and shoulders above many other products in our home theater in a box category. This is no small accomplishment for this system given how many great products it is up against.
An overall great buy for the price
This system plays DVDs and Blue Rays flawlessly. The sound is great and I love the WiFi capabilities - though I wish it would process a little faster. Even though the speakers are wired, I bought a wireless rear speaker sender/receiver unit to go with the system and now I'm using my rear speakers wirelessly, which is great because otherwise I would have no way of running wires to the back of my living room.
Amazing Home Theater System
This is a great product and I would highly reccoment it to anyone looking to buy a new home theater system. It was a little expensive but very worth the money.
-The sound is amazing. I no longer have to turn up and down the sound when people are talking or when there is action like I had to do with my old system.
-Set up was very simple. I could have used a little extra wire but it was easy to add some lengh so I could place the speakers where I wanted them in the room.
Enough sound to fill a medium sized living room
The Sony BDV- E580 is one of three 3D-compliant home theater systems (BDV-E780W, BDV-E580, and BDV-E280) released together in early 2011. It builds from the BDV-E280 by adding integrated Wi-Fi and an advanced Media Remote that can control iPhones, iPods, and Android smartphones.
