The best desktops of 2013 are more often than not the ultra slim models and take a departure in design from the traditional tower type designs to a more space friendly design. The new design incorporates all of the electronics (which were earlier housed in the 'tower') directly behind the monitor. The result is a very space saving design which goes well modern work-spaces and incorporates the latest technology in terms of the configurations and hardware.

For 2013 the best desktops are the ones which incorporate the latest and great hardware specs into a slim form factor. Anything less and you should be ideally looking out for a laptop instead. Most desktops in 2013 are affordable under $500 price range and are available from barnds like HP, Dell and Acer.
